I utilize both digital and traditional media to generate images that express my thought process, my interest in human portraiture,  and story ideas. I want to explore the endless possiblities created by the combination of physical drawing tools and computer graphics. The former allows for more expressive and unique mark-making, while the latter enables me to develop my ideas even further. Realism and fantasy are the two realms that I am interested in depicting. My goal is to make the two complement each other in my works.

 

 

Chieu Nguyen is an illustrator from Saigon, Vietnam who currently studies in the United States. She has a strong affinity for concept art, fictional characters, and 19th century art.
